ISHLT (virtual) Meeting 2021

Last year we were hoping that in 2021 things would have returned close to normal and we would have the opportunity to meet some of you in person at the annual meeting of the International Society for Heart and lung Transplantation. Because of the pandemic, this year will be another “virtual” meeting.

Zambon will be attending the virtual meeting, held on April 24-28, 2021 and we did see in the scientific program that some of you will be presenting posters or oral lectures. We will certainly not miss them!

Zambon submitted or contributed to a total of three abstracts - one was chosen for a mini-oral presentation and two were accepted as poster presentations:

ORAL SESSION 24 - Outcomes in Lung Transplantation: What Really Matters?

Dr. Ajay Sheshadri of the University of Texas will present results from a retrospective study in 134 patients on the economic burden of BOS: Bronchiolitis Obliterans Syndrome Following Lung Transplantation: Economic Burden by Chronic Lung Allograft Dysfunction (CLAD) Stage. The presentation will be on April 26, 2021, 2:15 PM - 2:26 PM and the abstract can be accessed here:

POSTER SESSION - LUNG Posters: Post-Transplant Complications

Zambon will present their research on the “Development in Lung Transplantation, Organ Shortage, Bronchiolitis Obliterans and Overall Survival in the USA, 2011-2018” (abstract 754). The abstract can be accessed here:

POSTER SESSION - LUNG Posters: Late Breaking Clinical Science

This poster will be presented by Stefanie Prante Fernandes of Zambon on behalf of the BOSTON clinical study team. The poster will describe the measures that have been implemented in the BOSTON study program to ensure patient safety and data integrity during SARS-COV 2 pandemic. Abstract 780 can be accessed here:
