Since Zambon acquired Profile as its UK affiliate in 2013, we have gone from strength to strength, launching new products in Parkinson’s Disease and infection whilst maintaining our leadership position in Cystic Fibrosis. We are a growing organisation and are consistently improving our success in the UK.

The real strengths of Profile are in the people who work here. As we are a small organisation, everyone has to be totally committed, willing to go beyond the day job, be extremely collaborative and have a positive attitude. This combination of attributes allows us to ‘punch above our weight’.

As far as our corporate parent is concerned, Zambon is a modern pharmaceutical company, founded on the history and values of an Italian family owned enterprise, with ambitious plans for growth.

The biggest challenge for us is ensuring we maintain and develop the essence of what has made us successful to date as we continue to grow our UK presence and influence. Linked to that is the challenge of ensuring that we make sure that we are able to effectively prioritise our efforts to ensure we have maximal impact as Profile evolves.

I am most proud of the fact that through our efforts many patients have been able to gain access to medicines that would otherwise not have been available in the UK. These treatments can make a real difference to patients and through the collaboration and hard work of many people in Profile, these have been made available on the National Health Service. It is very rewarding to know that the work you do can ultimately have a profound influence on the well-being of others.
